Hold Yourself Accountable to Follow-Through

As a mind that’s always analyzing and seeking improvements all to often I find myself forming some positive conclusions about my life or my work, taking action on them then gradually having them fizzle into nothingness without me realizing until a couple months later when I notice I’m formulating the exact same conclusions again as if it were for the first time.

I know I’m not alone, a lot of us procrastinate and while we don’t want our lives to be too regimented I think there’s something to be said for holding yourself accountable to actually following through with the goals your big brain has worked so hard to define.

For Mac users there is a program out there called Mental Case that allows you to quickly jot down thoughts as they come to you then review them in a very easy and accessible manner, I recommend it for everyone that’s tired of re-connecting the dots of positive thoughts that they basically forgot, or forgot to remember.

They say the habits you’ve formed by the time you’re in your early twenties are likely the ones you will have for the rest of your life. I say screw that.
